It's the final final countdown!!

Hello all!  I didn't want to post last week because most of our work was TOP SECRET!!  I hope all of the mom's out there enjoyed the Mother's Day projects/activities that we did.  Did any of the students sing the Mother's Day songs we have been working on?

We are doing all sorts of activities this week!  Monday will be Bubble Day, Tuesday will be Circus Day (the kids will be allowed to dress crazy on Tuesday!), Wednesday will be Popcorn Day, Thursday will be Ice Cream Day, and Friday will be Beach Day.  Most of our activities will be centered around the theme of the day.

We will also be continuing our space unit.  We will be taking a look at Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.  We will also be learning about rockets and astronauts.

Have a great week!

Photos etc...

A busy week is upon us!  We were scheduled to have and Earth Day program on Monday but due to the power outage, the program has been rescheduled for next week.  Track and Field day is slated for Friday, weather permitting.  The last month of school is officially here, and we are celebrating by Blasting Off to 2nd Grade and studying space.  We began with an introduction to the planets today and we will learn about the sun tomorrow and Mercury on Thursday.

Our class photographers have been busy taking pictures, so I wanted to share some of them with you!

Here is the sign in our hallway I used to introduce our new unit.

We love our study buddies.

Two buds at snack break.

Reading in the relaxation station.

We made hats to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Suess.

Teamwork!

All smiles in 1st grade!

Getting our groove on during a brain break.

More brain break dancing.
